Dajihui Exhibition Hall: A Fusion of Art, Science, and Architecture

Chanku and Partners' Award-Winning Design Transforms a Sales Center into a Sensory Experience

The Dajihui Exhibition Hall, a sales center located in Shenzhen, is a testament to the creative genius of Chanku and Partners. The design was inspired by the Chang'e-5 lunar samples, which were officially handed over at the end of 2020. The designers have endowed the surface of the exhibition hall with a shape similar to the surface of the moon, combining reality with art and giving the structure its own unique soul.

The hall's unique features lie in its use of gray marble as a base, adorned with geometric figures that embody the concept of future science and technology. Bright color elements are interspersed throughout, integrating sharp, round, and streamlined shapes to create a refreshing sensory experience. The ribbon-shaped stairs, serving as the main channel connecting the upper and lower functional spaces, are a central theme in the design.

The design realization technology used in this project includes stone, color acrylic, fluorocarbon, baking paint aluminum plate, and stainless steel. The project covers a total of 936 square meters, and the design process spanned from July 2020 to April 2021. The design team, led by Chief Designer Yantao Chen, faced several challenges, including ensuring the stress mode of the building's main body and the lighting design of the top, wall, and ground.

Despite these challenges, the team successfully integrated the power of the building with the changes of light and shadow, harmoniously integrating prosperity and tranquility. The result is a multi-experience of space aesthetics, where the building and space are integrated into a whole. The collision, decomposition, and reconstruction of geometric elements and gradient colored glass bring a refreshing sensory experience to the visitors.
